Life is a playground.

So the day this shoot was on was one of those 'why does the world hate me, I don't want to deal with this, can I just hug all the cats' type of day's. I had to ditch all the originally planned outfits because I failed to double check the sizing, my work rang me because they had locked themselves out and expected me to come save them and I had just worked 3 intense shifts at Fashion Weekend at the Dr Denim stall. Honestly that day I was contemplating whether I was cut out for styling or not.

When I recieved these shots back I was super happy, they look amazing and playful. I even got to show my mum who played a fun game of 'which items are a part of marissa's evergrowing closest' (only 3 items of clothing and 2 pairs of shoes for those playing at home). But this day showed me that if you try your best things will work out, even when you don't feel they will.

The vibe of this shoot is also a reminder to never ever lose your inner child, just because we are getting older doesn't mean we can't run around parks, shoot some hoops and laugh like we used to.

Sleepless Nights, City Lights

This is possibly my favourite shoot to date, even over the ones featuring tv personalities. It felt more like running around the city with a talented bunch of friends rather then work. You'd also be amazing that all the clothing came from my very own wardrobe, being a chronic shopper comes in handy.

Met Gala 2014

I get excited every year when the Met Gala is on, it's like the ultimate dress up party. I loved last years punk rock theme, I dig the whole 70s punk rock culture, listen to music derived from punk and love the whole fashion of it, so really last year combined my true loves fashion and music.

This years "Charles James: Beyond Fashion,” theme was amazing. The them brought back the formalities of couture and meant even the guys had to pick up their game. Charles James is an iconic designer whose creations are all about glamour, they featured things like detailed draping, voluminous ball gowns and exquisite structuring.

It was hard to narrow it down but here are some of my favourite outfits of the night. I hate that we now have to wait a whole year :(
